  • 4.1Meat Interactions
  • 4.1.1Unless tagged as an Omnivore, Herbivores should never interact with or hold meat, trophies, or fish.
Low
21

4.2 Aggressive, Defensive, and Passive Tags

  • 4.2Aggressive, Defensive, and Passive Tags
  • 4.2.1Every Herbivore species has a tag that will decide their behavior in the face of potential threats or over territory. They are required to act within the behavior of their tag. Regardless of the tag, body down must be respected in all situations.
  • -Aggressive: Can mock attack, threat :ald_potaggressivecall: call, and mock charge potential threats to intimidate them. Mock attacks or charges should never make contact or invade the personal space of the perceived threat. If a predator does not heed threats (creating distance or walking away) they are susceptible to attack. Fleeing Carnivores must be allowed to leave.
  • -Defensive: Prioritize protection and survival without being overtly aggressive. They will not actively seek out confrontation with predators, but they are not as quick to flee as passive herbivores. May exhibit warning displays (stomping, waving horns, etc.) to deter potential threats. They may not confront predators unless their space is invaded. If the threat is perceived to be too great, they will strategically retreat from the area to ensure their safety and the safety of their group members.
  • -Passive: Will not confront predators but instead flee and create distance when they are feeling threatened by the presence of a predator. Likely to threat call and mock attack when in a more confined space or feeling cornered.

4.3 When Being Hunted

4.3) When Being Hunted

  • 4.3.1Any herbivore that is being hunted may attempt to track down and kill their attempted hunter unless stated otherwise in their Mandatory Behavior or if grouped with young.
  • 4.3.2If grouped with young, their safety should be a priority. Offspring should not be abandoned to kill an attempted hunter, but rather be defended and guided to safety (unless stated otherwise in Mandatory Behavior)
  • 4.3.3Group members must be in minimap range when the hunt begins in order to protect their groupmate. Members who were out of minimap range when the hunt began may not go and assist their groupmate.
  • 4.3.4If tracking down an attempted hunter and LOS is lost past their combat timer, the herbivore must give up the chase.
Low

4.4 Symbiotic Relationships

  • 4.4Symbiotic Relationships
  • 4.4.1Those performing symbiotic relationships must only communicate with the use of the vocal wheel and movements. Symbiotes should never communicate with one another through text or voice chat.
  • 4.4.2This does not give an excuse to cuddle or act unrealistically with the other species. Use your best judgment of what is realistic and what isn't.

HUNTING RULES

Guidelines for initiating and conducting hunts

25

5.1 Hunting Hunger Requirements

  • 5.1Hunting Hunger Requirements

  • -May hunt at 65% hunger and below unless stated otherwise in its mandatory behavior.
  • -Scroll down for a visual on hunting hunger.
Low
26

5.2 Hunting Guidelines

  • 5.2Hunting Guidelines
  • 5.2.1A hunt begins when a Carnivore attacks, chases, or engages in an active pursuit of another species.
  • 5.2.2Switching targets is not allowed unless a 3rd party joins in the hunt.
  • -You must fully disengage before initiating a hunt on another species to make sure that the other party does not want to continue the fight.
  • 5.2.4Sub-Apex+ Aerial Species must be on the ground to attack non-flyers.
  • -If an Aerial species has a grab ability, they may grab without landing.
  • 5.2.5Sleeping during a hunt is not allowed.
  • 5.2.6Species may not hunt their own species unless they have the Cannibalistic Tag in their mandatory behavior.
  • 5.2.7Group members may only join in on an ongoing hunt if they were in minimap range when the interaction began.
  • 5.2.8The following counts as Disengagement and is considered failing a hunt for that player only (see Failed Hunts (5.5) below.):
  • -Drinking or eating from any food source. This does not include using abilities that chunk undroppable meat off of live prey, ie: giga's frenzied bite.
  • -Full Sleeping
  • -Failed Hunt is a limitation applied only to carnivores. Once a carnivore fails a hunt (for example, via full sleeping), that hunt is considered ended and may not be resumed by that carnivore, regardless of subsequent herbivore actions.
  • -Herbivore behaviors such as returning to the area, posturing, taunting, or remaining nearby do not reset or re-initiate a failed hunt for carnivores. Carnivores must disengage and seek a new hunt target after failing a hunt.
  • 5.2.9Hunts and territory must follow the species Buffs/Debuffs of the POI they initially started in. If the interaction moves into a second POI, they must follow the initial POIs restrictions.
  • -ie: Giganotosaurus drops to an engagement limit of 1 in a disliked POI. If their hunt started outside of the Disliked POI and moves into it, they may continue to hunt with the engagement limit of 2. If they started in the Disliked POI and moved out of it, they must keep their engagement limit of 1.

5.3 Body Down

  • 5.3Body Down
  • 5.3.1Once a body is down, all fighting must stop.
  • 5.3.2The party that lands the killing blow must claim the body down.
  • -If a herbivore lands the killing blow, the initiating party must claim it.
  • 5.3.3If a Herbivore lands the killing blow, they must move away from the body and allow the opposing party to eat.
  • 5.3.4If a player that is not involved in the fight gets trampled (a compy for example) this does not count as a body down, and the hunt may continue.
  • 5.3.5After a body down, the opposite party must leave LOS of the body down for 10 minutes unless they have a grief behavior listed in their species profile.
  • 5.3.6All party members must eat from the body down and continue to keep their hunger bar full till the body despawns.
  • -Purposely keeping your hunger bar at hunting hunger while on a body down is considered a loophole and is a sanctionable offense.
  • 5.3.7Only players with the Cannibalistic Tag are allowed to contest for a packmate's body.
  • 5.3.8If the body down occurred in water, and is able to be reached by the terrestrial carnivores who killed it, they must stay by the body to the best of their ability and eat when hungry. (ie: sit by the shoreline and swim out to grab chunks/eat)
  • 5.3.9If two bodies drop at the same time and are at least two body lengths apart from each other, each party may claim one body. If the bodies are closer than two body lengths, one party must claim both.

5.6 Third Party Rules

  • 5.6Third Party Rules
  • 5.6.1Only one third party may join in on a hunt. Third Parties are not allowed in contests and territorial disputes. If you aren’t sure if it is a hunt or a contest, it's best not to interfere to avoid a rule break.
  • -If a Third Party is involved, any party in that engagement may target switch between those involved.5.6.2) If your species is already involved in the hunt, you may not Third Party unless stated otherwise in your Mandatory Behavior

  • 8.1.1A Territory consists of one entire Place of Interest (POI). If you or your group meets the criteria, you may contest for a territory or be contested.

Check Mandatory Behavior for Territory Requirements.

  • -A species that is territorial will have another species or tier that they must immediately evaluate and contest if in Line of Sight (LOS). This can be found in their Mandatory Behavior. Posturing or sizing one another up is permitted. No territorial interaction is required if both parties decide to continue on their way.
  • 8.1.2Unless stated otherwise in a species' Mandatory Behavior, Sub-Adult and Adult count for territory requirements. Party members younger than Sub-Adult may not participate in the territory challenge and may not be targeted in one.
  • 8.1.3A party may interrupt a hunt to territory contest as long as there is no 3rd party involved.
  • -If both parties in the hunt are Carnivores that qualify for territory, the party closest to the initiating party is the one that must respond.
  • -It's important to observe a fight before jumping in. Make sure it is not another territory or a body contest, as neither can be 3rd partied. If you are unsure, don't jump in.

  • 8.2.1To begin a territory contest, at least 3+ group members must 3 call (if in a pair, both must 3 call) at an intruder within LOS roughly within 5-8 body lengths away. They must then wait 5 seconds for one of the following responses:
  • -3 call :ald_potaggressivecall: : The opposite party accepts the challenge.
  • -4 call:ald_potdistresscall: : The opposite party chooses not to fight and must leave Line of Sight (LOS), and accepts the Feared Tag toward their species for 1 hour.
  • -If the responding party responds by biting/attacking, this signals they are intending to hunt.
  • -If the responding party does not communicate with one another and gives two different responses (ie. one bites to signal a hunt and another 3 calls to signal territory), the interaction will default to a territory
  • 8.2.2If territory contested, the opposing player must respond with either a 3 :aldpotaggressivecall: call, 4 call :aldpotdistresscall:, or mock attack to signal a hunt.
  • -Walking away is not a proper response.
  • 8.2.3A contest ends when a 4 call :ald_potdistresscall: is heard or a Sub-Adult+ member dies. some species may have exceptions to 4 calls, ex. Yutyrannus.
  • 8.2.4Territory challenges are meant to be continuously fought with little time for pause and healing. The following counts as Disengagement:
  • -Drinking or eating.
  • -Sitting/Sleeping even to sit off bleed
  • -Must continue to be engaged via attack, circling, baiting
  • -Must stay within LOS within ~ 5 bodylengths.
  • 8.2.5At no point during a territory challenge should a party be backing into a rock, cliff side, body of water, or another surface of the like. This would be cause for an immediate forfeit. Running around a rock, tree, etc., to get a better angle does not fall under this rule.
  • -Using bleed is tactical. Waiting for bleed to stop and going in to stack more does not count as prolonging a territory, and is rather strategic thinking for that species.

8.4 After the Territory

8.4) After the Territory

  • 8.4.1After a territory contest, the loser must leave LOS immediately.
  • -If the other party does not 4 call and dies as result, you may optionally claim the body down.
  • -The victor may not follow the loser, and must allow them to leave LOS entirely. The winner may not hunt the species they contested for 5 minutes.
  • -It's up to the winner if they want to allow their opponent to sit off bleed or bone break after a territory challenge.
  • -If the loser is hunted by another party while leaving, they need to continue to make an effort to leave LOS.
  • -If the loser stays within LOS and does not make an effort to leave, the winner may 3 call :ald_potaggressivecall: again. If no move is made after being aggressed, the winner may up the aggression and attack.
  • 8.4.2The winner must stay within the POI for at least 30 minutes. The loser must follow the Feared Tag for 1 hour.
  • 8.4.3Feared Tag: The player must stay out of LOS of the species they were contested by within that POI, to the best of their ability, for 1 hour.
  • -If hunting in the POI under the Feared Tag, the player must forfeit the hunt if it goes within LOS of the species that contested them. (ei. Rex B has the Feared Tag and is hunting a hadrosaur within the POI. While hunting, Rex B spots another sub/adult Rex. Rex B must 4 call and leave LOS, giving up the hunt).
  • -A player with the Feared tag may not hunt the species they fear within the POI they were contested in.
  • -If involved in a territory contest with another species and a feared species comes within LOS, the player/party must 4 call and forfeit the contest.
  • -Players are expected to avoid feared species to the best of their ability. This includes creating distance immediately and turning the opposite direction if the feared species is heard nearby/in the distance.

8.7 Nomadic Species

  • 8.7Nomadic Species
  • 8.7.1A species with the Nomadic Tag may not initiate a territory contest; however, they may accept one to avoid receiving the Feared Tag.
  • -If the Nomadic Species wins, the challenger must follow Territory Rules and avoid LOS of the species they challenged for 1 hour. The Nomadic Species may optionally remain in the POI.
  • -If the Nomadic Species loses, they must follow the Feared Tag for 1 hour if they choose to stay in the POI.

NESTING RULES

Guidelines for nesting and raising offspring

45

9.1 General Nesting Rules

  • 9.1General Nesting Rules
  • 9.1.1Nests can be placed and built at any time for any reason for roleplay or cosmetic purposes unless stated otherwise in a species profile.
  • 9.1.2To nest in offspring, both an adult male and female must be present at hatching unless otherwise specified in their profile or using a premium nesting ticket for a Widowed nest.
  • 9.1.3Adoption is allowed in any season, unless otherwise stated within the species' mandatory behavior.
  • 9.1.4Nesting in offspring may take place during any season, however, tiers are limited to the following when they are nesting out of season:
  • -Sub-apex+ may only nest in 1 egg per pair, out of season
  • -Low-mid tiers may only nest in 2 eggs per pair, out of season
  • -Males will not court more than one female out of normal nesting seasons in species with larger group limits.
  • 9.1.5Nests may not be placed on top of or in berry bushes or ai corpses to prevent body denial. Placement of nests in inconvenient spots, such as near berry bushes or ai corpses may result in accidental damage that could occur during contests. These incidents cannot be reported under deliberate destruction of nests, as the player is liable for the location. Likewise, placing nests in narrow, high-traffic areas to create conflict is not allowed (for example, in the middle of a bridge).
  • 9.1.6If another player is standing over your nest, you may defend it as your personal space
  • 9.1.7Nests may not be built within Line of Sight (LOS) of another player unless players are grouped.
  • 9.1.8Nests may only be filled with food and water if offspring are present.
  • 9.1.9Nest parasites may be defended by their parents or siblings according to the parent species mandatory behavior. This protection is one sided; the nest parasite may not engage in hunts or protect their group in any way
Low
46

9.2 Destroying Nests

  • 9.2Destroying Nests
  • 9.2.1Nests may never be purposefully destroyed by another player except for the following reasons;
  • -If a species has won a territory fight, they may optionally destroy the opponent's nest.
  • -Attempting to hunt a player on or near their nest, resulting in collateral damage of the nest.
  • -The behavior is specifically allowed in a species profile.
Low
47

9.3 Premium nesting

  • 9.3Premium nesting
  • 9.3.1Premium Nests are tickets that allows players to do following;
  • -Nest in a full amount of offspring out-of-season
  • -Any player who would like to decorate more of their nesting area past the vanilla nest options.
  • -Nesting in a nest parasite (ie, maip, achillo)
  • 9.3.2Staff has the option to hide food and water so long as the group limit exceeds 6 adults. Food and water will be hidden in the immediate nesting area, but not in plain sight.
  • 9.3.3Premium nesting costs for the following;
  • -Decorating your nest in season - 15,000 marks per nest
  • -Nesting in full amount of offspring out-of-season + decorations - 45k marks per nest
  • 9.3.4Widowed nests - on rare, unfortunate occasions one member of a mated pair may not survive; in these cases one parent may go on to nest and raise the offspring. (Allows you to nest offspring without a mate present or same sex pairings for species with it as an option in their mandatory behavior) - 45k marks

SANCTION SYSTEM AND TICKET INFORMATION

Information about warnings, strikes, and bans

48

S1 Server Mutes

# Server Mutes

Arazoa has a strict no-toxicity policy. Any comment that is negative and goes against Rule 1 of the server may result in a server mute. Continuing arguments or inappropriate conversations after staff have asked you to stop may also result in a mute. You may receive an infraction depending on the severity of the situation. Server mutes are a minimum of 24 hours, and can only be appealed by making a [ticket](https://discord.com/channels/1001576030512889886/1001947894875705484) after the allotted time has passed.

S2 Kicks

# Kicks

In-game kicks are usually given to players after staff have made several attempts to get a players attention in Global/Local chat to prevent a rulebreak/stop a rulebreak. Staff have the authority to kick a player from the in-game server and add an infraction, depending on the severity of the situation.

Low
50

S3 Informal Warning

# Informal Warning

An informal warning is a written, non-official warning given to a player for minor corrections, either in-game or in our Discord. These informal warnings are not placed on your sanction list; however, they are documented so that staff are well informed of the discussion. Informals can be given to any player and are usually given for the following;

  • -Players breaking a new rule during the first 30 days after the rule is introduced
  • -Situations that seem more like a misunderstanding or confusion of the ruleset or situation
  • -Self Reported rulebreaks (Staff Discretion).
  • -As a result of a negotiation ticket

A staff member must discuss the rule broken to receive an informal. If the staff is unable to get a response from you confirming you've seen the informal warning, a more formal sanction will be put in place. Please note Informal Warnings are given at the staffs descretion.

Low
51

S4 Warning

# Warning

A warning is a formal sanction that goes on your record. If you have an active warning on your sanction list, you cannot receive another until the first one falls off. If an active warning is in place on a players sanction list, any further rulebreak will be a strike. Strikes may be lessened to warnings under staff discretion via a strike appeal ticket. Warnings are typically handed out for the following:

  • -The player does not actively have a warning and breaks a rule that does not result in another player's death.
  • -Player self-reported a rulebreak, has a good conversation with staff, and has room on their sanction list for a warning (staff discretion based on discussion).
  • -Players are seen breaking the same rule for which they already have an informal warning.
Medium
52

S5 Strike

# Strike

Strikes are given automatically for any non-self-reported rulebreak in which another player has died as a direct result of your actions, even if you have an opening for a warning. A player may only have a max of three strikes. After receiving a third strike, the player will be banned from the in-game server. You may still make a strike appeal ticket even if you received a ban. If appealed successfully, your ban will be removed.

Medium
53

S6 Infraction time and decay

# Infraction time and decay

Warnings and Strikes lasts 30 days minimum, and must be appealed via a ticket to be removed. Sanctions do not fall off automatically. The removal of either must meet the following requirements:

  • -Must be 30+ days old.
  • -Player must be active in our in-game server at least 15/30 days minimum.
  • -Must not have any recent repeated strikes of the same kind.

Toxicity-Related Strikes:

  • -Must be 60+ days old.
  • -Player must be active in our in-game server at least 30/60 days minimum.

Important Notes:

Repeat Offenses: If the same rule section is broken multiple times (ie: Territory Rules 8.2), strike durations will increase by 30 days for each offense (ie: from 30 days for the first offense, 60 days for the second, 90 days third). This applies only to sanctions that happened in 2025 or later. Strike expiration dates are recorded in the @Arazoa Bot system.

Medium

S7 Self Reports

# Self Reports

These are tickets made by players who realize they have broken a rule, by accident or out of confusion, and open a ticket immediately after doing so. Most of the time, these will result in an informal warning or lessened infraction due to the self-report, depending on the discussion had. Exceptions may be made for constant self-reports of the same rulebreak or toxicity. We understand that players make mistakes; however, making a ticket does not necessarily result in a minimal consequence every time. Staff will discuss the rulebreak with you to make sure you fully understand how to avoid this situation in the future.

Self-reports are handled entirely at the staff's discretion and will be managed on a case-by-case basis.

Low
55

S8 Negotiation Tickets

# Negotiation Tickets

Negotiations are a type of ticket that is not punishment-based, but rather used to resolve confusing situations between players. These tickets serve as calm spaces where one player per party involved may discuss a complex or confusing situation where one or both sides may have accidentally rulebroken as a result.

Toxicity or metagaming-related infractions may not be negotiated and must be reported as normal rulebreak tickets.

These tickets are not a place for argument. Once a conclusion is made on the situation, the observing staff member will review the information, answer questions, and give growths if needed. Sanctions are not generally given for negotiation tickets, but will serve as an informal warning for the player(s) involved. If a player involved in the ticket already has a prior history of the rulebreak, it will be discussed with the player in a separate ticket after the negotiation ticket has concluded for privacy of the player.

Severe
56

S9 Strike Appeals

# Strike Appeals

Warnings and strikes may be appealed once, and must be made within 24 hours after you have received the infraction. Creating an appeal ticket does not mean the infraction will be removed or lessened as the outcome is based on the situation, evidence, and conversation had in the ticket. Strikes and warnings may be reduced (ie: Strike to Warning, or Warning to Informal).

Strikes will never be lowered to a warning if you already have one active warning on your sanction list.

Second Opinions:

Requesting a second opinion is allowed in a Strike Appeal ticket, however, only one will be granted. If the second staff member has the same verdict as the first, you must accept that verdict.

Medium
57

S10 Bans

# Bans

Bans will occur after a player has received their 3rd strike. When banned, you must wait the designated time before making an appeal ticket (see section below). Severe toxicity, recurring toxicity, KOSing (Killing for Sport) and metagaming may result in an instant ban from our server. During this time, players are expected to review the rulebook and/or profile(s) they had trouble with.

First Ban: You may submit a ban appeal after 7 days.

Second Ban: You may submit a ban appeal after 60 days.

Third Ban: Results in a minimum 1 year ban with a low likelihood of appeal approval.

Fourth Ban: This is a permanent ban, and you will be removed from the Discord server.

Toxic behavior in our Discord while you are under an in-game ban will result in immediate removal from the server, without a chance of appeal.

Permanent Ban = Removal from our Discord Server, with no chance of appeal. permanent bans can be given at any time depending on the extent of the issue and do not have to follow the order above

Severe

S11 Ban Appeals

# Ban Appeals

A player may appeal their ban via a Ban Appeal Ticket with an Upper Staff member

(Admin +). Ban appeals are not guaranteed and are up to the Upper Staff’s discretion.

Low
59

S12 One Strike Policy (OSP)

# One Strike Policy (OSP)

Upon successfully appealing a ban, the user would be put on a One-Strike Policy. This is a probationary period in which their next strike will result in the user's permanent ban from our servers. Exceptions are made when reviewing the severity of the strike on a ban appeal, as we understand mistakes happen. The only way for the OSP to be removed is by the player successfully having two infractions fall off their sanction list.

In a successful Ban Appeal ticket, Upper Staff may adjust prior infractions that have not already been appealed to give the player wiggle room for minor mistakes. This is case by case, and up to the discretion of the Upper Staff. This does not include toxicity or metagaming-related infractions.

IRD1 Hadrosaur Wasting Disease (HWD): Lethal

# Hadrosaur Wasting Disease (HWD): Lethal

While HWD is typically remains symptom-free in its host, individual tolerance and environmental stressors may cause it to surface. Its symptoms, once present, are unmistakable among hadrosaurs. The disease bears an iconic resemblance to cross-species transmissible rabies; infected individuals in the advanced stages exhibit pronounced confusion, loss of coordination, and erratic behaviors such. These symptoms emerge during the terminal phase, with death following within days depending on the host’s age and physical condition.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Barsboldia, Parasaurolophus, Lambeosaurus, Iguanodon

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Aimless wandering
  • -Motionless standing
  • -Traveling opposite of herds route

Major Symptoms:

  • -Sudden, non-impact charges at herdmates unprevoked
  • -Random tail thrashing/stomping/head shaking
  • -Extreme adversion to water (lethal; typically last stage)
Low
61

IRD2 Depluming Mites (DM): Nonlethal

# Depluming Mites (DM): Nonlethal

Parasitic mites that inhabit the skin of feathered/densely coated species, feeding on keratin and follicular tissue. Infestation leads to feather degradation, patchy or uneven plumage, and a noticeable dulling of coloration due to damage and poor regrowth. Chronic cases may result in significant feather loss. Individuals who are infected with depluming mites have great difficulty in finding a pack, or mate.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Utahraptor, Quetzalcoatlus

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Scratching
  • -Obsessive grooming
  • -Restlessness
  • -Abnormally vocal

Major Symptoms:

  • -Feather loss (see species suggested behavior for subspecies recommendation)
Low
62

IRD3 Mad Ceratopsian Disease (MCD): Lethal

# Mad Ceratopsian Disease (MCD): Lethal

A disease that affects ceratopsians and any non-scavenger species that consumes them. The disease targets the nervous system, causing rapid mental and motor decline. Most infected lapse into a coma and die from dehydration or starvation. Scavengers possess a natural immunity, while experienced predators instinctively avoid affected carcasses.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Eotriceratops, Styracosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Psittacosaurus
  • -Any non-scavenger carnivore that has eated from a ceratopsian body.

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Head shaking
  • -Confusion
  • -Straying a distance behind their herd/pack

Major Symptoms:

  • -Paralysis, typically laying down
  • -Dehydration/Starvation (lethal; typically last stage)

IRD4 Chlamydia Trachomatis / Trachomatis: Nonlethal

# Chlamydia Trachomatis / Trachomatis: Nonlethal

This bacterium spreads primarily through flies, but can also pass between individuals via contact with mucus membranes, saliva, and other frontal bodily fluids. Infections lead to chronic irritation and scarring of the eyes, sometimes progressing to blindness. Infected species often show discomfort, frequent head-shaking, squinting, or compulsive grooming around the eyes.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Any

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Frequent Snorting/Sneezing
  • -Light sensitivity; looking downward during the day to avoid glare
  • -Constant grooming of the face

Major Symptoms:

  • -Unsteady navigation; bumping into things or walking hesitantly
  • -Sunlight avoidance
  • -Disorientation
  • -Blindness (severe), apparent through blue appearing eye color.
Low
64

IRD5 Nematodirus: Occasionally Lethal

# Nematodirus: Occasionally Lethal

A parasitic nematode that primarily inhabits the intestinal tract of young herbivore species, or those grazing on contaminated pastures. Not often lethal, however, fatality can occur in individuals weakened by malnutrition or dehydration.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Lambeosaurus, Barsboldia, Anodontosaurus, Parasaurolophus

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Weight loss (shown by a change to a slimmer subspecies)
  • -Lethargy
  • -Loss of coloration/duller coloration
  • -Sluggish behavior
  • -Loss of apitite

Major Symptoms:

  • -Dehydration (Sometimes lethal in young species)
Low
65

IRD6 Salt Poisoning: Typically Lethal

# Salt Poisoning: Typically Lethal

As the body weakens with age, reduced kidney efficiency leads to sodium imbalance and depletion. This causes individuals to seek out salt, creating a destructive cycle of consuming salt or saltwater in an attempt to rehydrate, which only worsens dehydration until death. Symptoms may range from subtle disorientation to visible distress, with progression accelerating as the cycle continues.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Argentinosaurus, Apatosaurus, Amargasaurus, Yunnanosaurus

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Visible Confusion and distress
  • -Lathargy

Major Symptoms:

  • -Dehydration (Lethal)
Low
66

IRD7 Reptarenavirus: Occasionally Lethal

# Reptarenavirus: Occasionally Lethal

A virus that affects semi-aquatic species. It attacks the cells of the nervous and digestive systems, causing problems with movement, coordination, and digestion over time. The virus spreads through contact with infected fluids or contaminated surfaces. Some animals eventually die from the infection, while others survive for long periods without showing obvious symptoms.

The following species may be affected:

  • -Megalania, Deinosuchus, Sarcosuchus, Concavenator

Minor Symptoms:

  • -Isolation
  • -Abnormal , non-impact aggression

IRD11 Shell Rot: Various Lethality

# Shell Rot: Various Lethality

Shell rot is a fungal infection that may affect any hard-shelled creatures. The condition is highly contagious in saltwater environments, and affected individuals will often migrate into more stagnant freshwater sources to slow its progression.

The Redwoods region is a notable hotspot for large shelled creatures seeking relief, as it contains an overabundance of soft algae known to actively combat shell-rot-causing organisms. While shell rot cannot be fully cured, its progression can be slowed with proper environmental conditions. Affected creatures often exhibit heightened aggression, reduced stamina, and increased fatigue as the disease advances. This is commonly caused by Injuries sustained during fights, lack of adequate basking, and poor protein intake.

The following species may be affected:
